isn’t it picnic time yet?!

I spent the best part of yesterday in the garden playing with the cat and the feather duster in the long grass everything was lovely warm and sunny and now I’m happily anticipating summer, I’m officially single again Ric moved out last week and single life is the bitter sweet muddle it has always been. I need constant distraction so I must insist that maybe one or indeed all of you (I’m not fussed) take me out drinkin next weekend and I *still* want to go to the Natural History Museum (which I think is free? How good). Let me know what your up to.

There's an invite in there somewhere..

Krzysia got me a teapot, brown of course, for my birthday. (Some think I’m easily pleased but actually I’m quite specific.) It is genuinely great as it holds like 10 cups of tea or something, and now I drink so much tea for what it’s worth I may as well be on some sort of drip.
However, as the early present suggests I am wedged on the slide of the slippery slope till death just like some overweight middle aged inexplicably stupid woman on you’ve been framed. It’s that time of year and to celebrate me and Nicola will be about in London on Sat to try and salvage want remains of my social life and I was wondering if anyone fancied just a nice chilled out drink because I think as I am getting so very old I can’t really be fagged with a club after. Then it is Christmas, then and I shall definitely be in attendence, it’s the Alex Sarll do on the 27th and then it is new year where for resolutions sake I should be drinking less tea and taking up yoga or something and then I think it’s old age and er... death perhaps, or easter.

For Christmas we have a fluffy little white tree that lights up which the cat keeps attacking. I let this go on though because it makes me laugh and I think they’re quite evenly matched. That would be a little depressing, if you met your match and it was a little white fluffy Christmas tree.

we all wake up as Americans

I don't want politics any more I was too disappointed to even watch newsnight yesterday, no one on TV seems to be as concerned as they should be and it's all very strange.
So yesterday I lay awake in bed watching a program about how important sleep is and how you have a heart attack and die if you don't get enough, so I've added it to my list of most important things; sleep is now up there with eating, shagging, seeing people I like and not caring wherever possible.
So I can't sleep, I'm a little tense today coupled with the fact that my boot keeps catching on my tights so I'm also in effect joined at the knees.

Now we are in our own place I quite wanted a bonfire at my house but my garden is small and has a resident pair of old pants mixed in with the lawn, they were there when we moved in and no one has moved them because amongst other reasons we don't have one of those long grabby sticks. Any way, we were thinkin of burning the pants for Nov 5th, the only resident on the 'to burn' list incidently, but being not only potentially quite a small fire but also one in england I see the possibility with the whole burning pants thing being rained off as enormous,
so...
I was wondering if anyone was doing good, or just better things for bonfire night?

And I got my job!! even though I let the burgalars in, how good is that? or how bad is that for adult education? And any suggestions for small talk urgently required and very much appreciated as I have to do a lot of that and I'm not very good at it.

Oh, and can everyone stop having xmas parties on my birthday please and if you are I want an apology and a present (with BIRTHDAY wrapping), cos I'm much better than all this nonsensical son of god sh1t.

Your relationship with Anya.

Hello it's me,

Apparantly I have to actually write an entry for you to comment on and although I'm already feeling the strain of commitment to my livejournal, here it is my first entry,

Introduce yourself! Even if I know you, in fact, esp if I know you and include some of those interesting often entirely irrelevent facts about yourself, like..
Hello my names Anya, I like kittens and am prone to general uselessness..
or
Hello my names Alex, I drink too much and appear to carry on dancing long after I've passed out..
although I haven't seen the man(that's you Alex) that drunk in ages, is that cos I'm not out enough?

Also my only friend is livejournal news and I'm a little concerned that I look a bit sad so could some friendly people who are my friends or would like to be help me rectify this.
